 | I know last update I said that the past week felt like it dragged on but now we've already arrived at the last week of the month?? ∑(゜Д゜;) Time is just a concept................ but we still have an update to do! It's going to be a long one, with lots of reading, so I do apologize for being such a yapper when it comes to writing out my thoughts but I'd appreciate if ya'll read through everything!! GAME UPDATESAlong with the scheduled sets updating (see above), there have been a few more changes to some of the games. If you've followed along with the issues being reported in the Discord, you'll know we've had some trouble with including choice cards in certain rewards but thanks to the help of some players, I've *attempted* a fix-- I just haven't been able to test it myself so I'll be depending on you guys to let me know if they work or not LOLThe affected games that will have their choice cards added back to their rewards are listed below, however do note that only TASTE TEST is available to play this week; the rest will have the choice cards added back into them when they're next updated so everyone will have the same access/opportunity to try it out! Unless the fix isn't working then I'll be keeping the rewards choice card-free until I do find a fix... :sobs:
I also noticed that some games were not giving out the actual reward intended and I didn't realize until today??? I'm so sorry for these errors... I double checked all the games being updated today and made sure the rewards matched what the game descriptions say but if I missed anything, please let me know!! Collab Stage (Prejoiners) has ONE (1) spot left and it is now open for ANY PREJOINER to donate to, even if you already submitted an image for this round! It's first come, first serve so be quick to post!! Group Collect has FIVE (5) spots left and is also now accepting second donations from anyone who already participated this month! Hit or Miss will have rounds close and new rounds open a bit earlier than the original deadline to better fit our staff's schedule so going forward, do try to get your plays in by Friday to be on the safe side! Your Idol 001 also closes tonight and a new round will be posted shortly after (this schedule will remain the same since I'm the one who starts/closes rounds); rewards for the first round will be sent out once staff is able to! Collab Stage (Sparkling Debut) will remain open until the end of the month for anyone who hasn't donated yet since we do have more than enough members to allow everyone a chance to submit something - but if it's not filled by the 31st, I'll allow second donations from anyone then! This would delay the next round if it comes to that but I don't think it'll take long to finish it once second donations are allowed anyways so hopefully it'll just be a brief delay. Also, I apologize for not clarifying this before, but please be aware that game rounds may include series we don't have decks for or currently accept as eligible series to even donate from, as long as they're an idol series! Due to the focus of this TCG, there's only so many qualifying series we can pull from for trivia game rounds so we may sometimes dip into other (but still related to the theme/topic) series for more variety. At the very least, I will start adding a note/hint stating if the series is one we'd accept decks of or have anything released yet for applicable rounds but I'm sorry if allowing this makes things more difficult for anyone who might not be familiar with a lot of series! Please know you're always free to ask for hints on the Discord if you're having trouble figuring out an answer though!! SPECIAL CHALLENGE RESPONSESI also just wanted to mention that I have been reading the survey responses so thank you to everyone who's shared their thoughts so far! I'm keeping a lot of your ideas in mind while thinking of new features to add in the future but I'm also planning on making some changes based on some of your answers, some of which have already gone into effect this week (or will be later today) - I'll go into details more in the "TCG News" section!(Also yes, I will most likely be adding merch eventually; initially, I wasn't going to because it became hard to keep up with in past TCGs I've run due to how much I needed to make but since many of you showed interest and I agree that it's an important part of idol culture, you'll see it sometime in the future! Just not anytime soon as I work things out because I have a lot of ideas for it lol) I did want to talk about Lyrical Lines in particular because I hear you guys! I knew it would be a difficult game but I thought blanking out words in the lyrics would be too easy which is why we were originally going to have two versions of the game that get rotated every week where one would be the translation version, the next would be filling in the blanks, and so on. I'll still be keeping the translation version of the game for the time being but we're going to start adding the series the song is from as a hint for those rounds, and stick to songs/lyrics that we can find an existing English translation of so it will be more easily searchable (and just use those translated lyrics as the round itself). I hope this is a decent compromise for those of you who were struggling with or straight up disliked the game if you choose to continue playing it! If it doesn't work out then we will revisit whether to keep this version or not :') That said, if you haven't responded to the survey yet, there's still one more week left to do so feel free to answer with your thoughts as well even if you feel like everything you could say has already been said by others! There is a reward for answering as Special Challenge is a monthly game after all, but I will only be sending them out once the round is closed. TCG NEWSThe form for double mastery rewards is now available and linked in your accounts! Remember you can only use this if you picked it as your Birthday Perk, and activated it on the forum first. I haven't been able to test this form myself yet so if anyone does, let me know if it works or not!I also wanted to plug the Site Milestones Suggestions thread as I'd love to see some ideas, especially for idol birthdays. February's monthly milestone isn't made (nor do I have anyone in mind) yet because I can't think of who has a February birthday off the top of my head currently - so any suggestions would be appreciated, both for next month and the future! CHANGES TO EXPERIENCE LEVELS & SPARKLE SHOPPEOne of the changes being made this week is to the Experience Levels: many of the card worth requirements have been increased to account for the amount of cards that can be gained in the TCG currently, which I know is a lot and will only increase even more once prejoin rewards are sent out next month. The affected ranks only start from Next Star (Level 5) however so those of you at level 3 right now and are close to level 4 don't need to worry about any changes yet!The second change is to the Sparkle Shoppe: we will be increasing the prices of a lot of items in our inventory right now, and decreasing some others, to account for their values/worth in comparison to other related items in the shop and because I've been very generous with rewards apparently so lots of you have a lot of currency to spend already (not to mention cards as well of course), despite the TCG only being opened for 2 weeks :bloblsweat: These changes will be taking effect after 11:59 PM (TCG Time) later today (January 24th) so there's still some time to make any last minute purchases before then! Anyone who purchases something that ends up having its price decreased will get a refund so spend freely if you had your eye on anything~ I'll make an edit here once the prices have changed over! My reason for making these changes is because I don't want anyone to think everything is too easy and lose interest quickly, however I do like you guys having lots of cards to trade with so that's why I'm not adjusting the amount of cards being given out for now even though I'm aware that I've been super generous with rewards LOL That said, when I was deciding rewards for the TCG overall during the planning stage, my main thought was rewarding those who put in a lot of work into participating in and maxing out everything they can in the TCG; if you work hard, you'll earn more and if not then that's okay too! Everyone plays TCGs differently and some people don't want to go ham, while some love it and want to min-max - both ends and everything in between are welcomed here so I hope the rewards you receive are reflective of that! Which is why I am making these changes and adjustments to see if they do well and if not, then more changes will be made :zany_face: MONTHLY REMINDERSSince we are almost at the end of January, this is your reminder to play the monthly games if you haven't yet, submit donations, claim your gift if it was your birthday this month, pick up the Site Milestones available to you (check the January 10th update for lots of them with some even expiring after the 31st), all that stuff! Don't forget that you must turn in completed tasks for Sparkling Tour BEFORE the end of the month or else they won't count, even if you finished them during January.NEXT UPDATEWe'll actually have our first combined weekly and monthly update next time since the two would-be-update days are literally one after the other this time! As a result, what would be the regular weekly update will be postponed by one day so instead of being posted on the 31st, it'll go up on February 1st! All games won't be updated until then (except for any forum games updating on their own schedule) so if you're someone who does site games late, you'll have an extra day to play them last minute if you haven't finished them by then lmaoAlso!  | This week felt like it dragged on for me but after looking at the last week's stats, apparently that wasn't the case for some of you!! LOL That said, I'll only be including the weekly roundup of masteries & level ups for this update to commemorate our first weekly update, and to congratulate everyone who worked hard since opening to master and level up so quickly! I thought you guys wouldn't have many cards for now but I guess I had nothing to worry about :zany_face: Anyways, I wanted to once again thank you all for your activity and enthusiasm in this first week, and hope you continue enjoying the TCG!! Now let's get to the update! SITE MILESTONESWe'll kick things off with some new Site Milestones to celebrate our first mastery and level up: saya, who mastered sakyofuruichi-sweettemptation, and Jessica who ranked up to Auditionee! Congrats and good work, you two~ Everyone can take these as long you joined before today!  ev-firstlevelup, ev-firstmastery GAME UPDATESOn-Location Filming is now ready to play, along with Local Shows refreshed for the new week. A new round of Hit or Miss is also up on the forums now, and the on-site rewards pick up (located in the Games section) has been fixed to give out the correct rewards! If you picked it up earlier, please report it on the forums so I can correct your rewards/send you the remaining needed.Remix's code has been updated so it'll temporarily remove the restriction on not being allowed to swap in a card from a deck already in the pile. Since we don't have many decks released right now, I thought it might become difficult to find something to swap in for the time being - but you still cannot swap in the exact same card that is already in the pile. Once we have more decks released, the restriction will be put back! Collab Stage (Prejoiners) is still open until the end of the month and while I *think* pretty much everyone who is a prejoiner has donated already, this is a last call for anyone who HASN'T submitted an image yet to please do so before next Saturday! Group Collect is also being handled on the forums for this month due to the nature of its theme so don't forget to participate if you haven't yet! I will be allowing second donations from anyone for BOTH Collab Stage (Prejoiners) and Group Collect starting the 24th which will be first come first served so you have been warned!! Sparkling Challenge has been open since the TCG opened as well, and now that the last set of site games are available, I hope to see some responses so I can get an idea of what I may or may not need to change/add/etc - along with potentially planning some future events! TCG NEWSSince opening, we've unsurprisingly encountered many errors, of which the most important is in regards to Training Activity Rewards, so if you've turned in any completed pages before January 13th, please report it on the forums with how many pages you claimed rewards for! I forgot to edit parts of the code which dictated how many trade points were needed to complete a page so it was taking 5 more trade points (per page) than intended; this issue has since been fixed but I will still need to refund those points back to your current count for anyone I haven't yet.I also edited this into last week's update late but in case anyone missed it: For those of you who donated any of the decks released at opening, you are free to take your donator (and/or deck maker, if that applies to you) pull now! Just comment on this update (or last week's) with what you grabbed for archiving and you're good to upload it to your trade post. Starting with today's release and going forward, donator/deck maker pulls are included in the claiming form along with regular deck pulls! Lastly, we will be allowing members to make a second wish in Wish Upon a Star so go ahead and submit another wish if you already played it this month! If you haven't played it yet then you can submit both your wishes, one after the other, each in a separate form so you can receive your rewards both times. WISHING DETAILSTo celebrate our first weekly update, there is actually NO LIMIT or restrictions on the number of cards per deck you can take for both wishes despite what it says (that's just the default limits which *will* usually be in place for most wishes)!
